Khabib Nurmagomedov provides Tony Ferguson $200,000 to combat him So far in 2017, a couple of high-profile UFC fighters seem to be taking it into their own hands — and mouths — to attempt to generate some blockbuster matchups occur even if the organization has to approve them. Nothing was officially planned out beyond March of this year, with new ownership remaining quiet about strategies for title conflicts and other blockbuster bouts so far. But on Monday, No. 1 lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0) took to Twitter to let No. 2 contender Tony Ferguson (22-3) understand that he is ready to put up $200,000 of his own money to create a struggle between them occur since the UFC hasn’t done it for them…Ferguson had previously demanded equal pay to take on Nurmagomedov despite signing a new deal with the UFC that reportedly prevents that by making exactly the same. UFC president Dana White said the fight would not happen for that reason though the public is demanding it. The proposed bout is for its interim lightweight title with current champion Conor McGregor (21-3) from action for the next 10 weeks to focus on the birth of his child. Michael Bisping and Tyron Woodley concur to catchweight bout? Yes, current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping (30-7) and welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16-3-1) also were seen verbally agreeing to some superfight of varieties in a catchweight of 180 pounds backstage during UFC 207 last Friday in Las Vegas. Both fighters are coming off name defenses in the end of 2016 and right now don’t have new competitions. Bisping posted the movie under on his Instagram account to show the world that he means business. There’s a current opening for a main event at UFC Fight Night 108 in the O2 Arena in London on March 18th, with Bisping hinting at the as a possible date.
